For the 1st time, the Balkan countries are organising a Shiatsu summit. More than 12 Balkan countries and all European practitioners are invited to this region of Europe. Join us, uniting the Balkan countries for a transformative Shiatsu experience and knowledge sharing in the beautiful city of Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina. This unique summit will be conducted in English and Bosnian.
Summit theme: Oriental diagnosis
Four teachers, including three European experts, will be on hand to give the courses.

Chris McAlister is a Shiatsu and Acupuncture practitioner with nearly 40 years experience. He studied for long periods in the Far East, mainly in Japan and China, where Chinese herbs, Qigong and martial arts were among the other subjects he explored.
he has explored. He teaches all over the world and has published two books: Touching the Invisible and The Poetry of Touch. He is currently President of the European Shiatsu Federation (ESF).
Course: diagnosing the back and using Shu/Yu points

Fabian Bastiannelli is a renowned Belgian teacher who founded the Odo Shiatsu school. He has many years’ experience of the Marvellous Vessels and teaches them throughout Europe.
Lesson: diagnosis of the abdomen and use of the Source/Yuan points

Ivan Bel is a Shiatsu teacher who travels the world promoting Shiatsu. Founder of the Ryoho Shiatsu blog and of the NGO Mission Shiatsu Humanitaire, he has a long experience and effective techniques for diagnosing the stomach, Anpuku and Chineitsang. But this time he’ll be tackling another theme that’s close to his heart.
Course: radial pulse and meridians treatment

Ibro Sulejmanovic is a Bosnian physiotherapist, also trained in manual osteopathic techniques and specialising in naturopathy, Shiatsu, acupuncture, Chinese medicine and Ayurveda. His work is based on an integrative medical approach. He is also an assistant teacher at the Bosnia Shiatsu School.

Sarajevo: a city to be seen

The summit will take place in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina, in a large dojo with tatami mats. This capital offers many possibilities for sightseeing, many charming surprises in the old town and many delicious dishes to sample. The old town is truly magnificent, so don’t miss it. This is your chance to broaden your horizons and discover this Central European country, not far from the Croatian side. Why not combine a Shiatsu course with the pleasure of travelling.
